A vision that began in 1957 grew from the dedication and hard work of Richard and Jeane Schuler. With a Forestry degree from Penn-State University, Richard applied his expertise to survey, design, and build the community from the ground up, often balancing his responsibilities as a schoolteacher by day and developer by night. His commitment and perseverance laid the foundation for a thriving and welcoming environment that has stood the test of time.

Jeane, a Stetson graduate with a background in music, brought warmth, care, and an exceptional gift for connecting with people, making her an integral part of resident relations. Her presence helped shape the community into more than just a place to live it became a place to belong. Though she passed away in January, her spirit continues to live on in the heart of the park and in the legacy she and Richard built together.
