National Women's Political Caucus Greater Pasadena Area

The National Women’s Political Caucus – Greater Pasadena Area (NWPC-GPA) is a multi-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to increasing women’s political participation in Pasadena, Altadena, Glendale, Sierra Madre, and La Cañada. As part of the national organization founded in 1971, NWPC-GPA focuses on recruiting, training, and electing pro-choice, progressive women to public office. Through endorsements, campaign training, and volunteer support, the organization equips candidates with the tools they need to run successful campaigns and serve effectively in elected and appointed roles.

Despite making up more than half of the U.S. population, women remain significantly underrepresented in government, particularly at the local level. NWPC-GPA is committed to changing that by building a more inclusive and equitable political landscape, starting at the community level. By empowering women to lead, the organization aims to ensure that diverse voices are represented in decision-making processes that shape the future.
