Cedar City Lions Club

The Cedar City Lions Club has been a vital part of the Cedar City community since its founding on December 22, 1930. For over 90 years, the club has remained committed to improving the lives of residents through meaningful civic service, charitable programs, and inclusive, family-friendly events.

The club is best known for hosting beloved community traditions such as the Kite Flight for Reading and Sight, the Great American Stampede Rodeo, and the Cedar City Independence Day Parade featuring the “Spirit of ‘76” pageant. In addition to these signature events, the club supports numerous service initiatives, including vision care for low-income residents, scholarships for youth leadership programs, and holiday food drives. Weekly meetings foster connection and planning among members, all united by the Lions Clubs International mission: “We Serve.” Through decades of service, the Cedar City Lions Club continues to make a lasting and positive impact locally and beyond.
