Established by President and CEO Sheila Mathews and an experienced board of directors, the bank steadily expanded its presence over the years — from its initial three locations in Farmington to branches in Aztec, Cortez, and Durango. Notable milestones include the 2007 expansion into Colorado, the 2013 acquisition of Citizens State Bank of Cortez, and the opening of its Durango location in 2016.
