Lifewise Academy Lakeland
Lifewise Academy Lakeland, located in LaGrange, Indiana, exists to bring Bible-based teaching to public school students during the school day through a model known as Released Time Religious Instruction. In response to rising levels of anxiety, depression, and spiritual disconnection among youth, the program aims to reintroduce biblical truth and moral grounding at a time when Bible literacy and church involvement are at historic lows. Lifewise allows students to encounter the hope and wisdom found in God’s Word, helping them build a foundation for life beyond the classroom.
This program is made possible under the 1952 U.S. Supreme Court ruling Zorach v. Clauson, which allows religious instruction during school hours as long as it meets three requirements: it must be held off school property, funded privately, and attended only with parental permission. Lifewise Academy Lakeland operates fully within these guidelines, partnering with families and the community to deliver a meaningful and legally supported spiritual education to the next generation.
