Jack Rabbit Trading Post
Home

Established in 1949, the Jack Rabbit Trading Post is a legendary stop along historic Route 66 in Arizona. It all began when Jim Taylor, inspired by the excitement people showed for a black rabbit statue he carried in his convertible, decided to make it the centerpiece of his roadside shop. That iconic rabbit became the inspiration behind the world-famous “HERE IT IS” sign and countless mileage markers that continue to capture the imagination of travelers. Over the decades, ownership has passed through generations, each one adding to the store’s unique charm while honoring its historic roots.

Today, the Jack Rabbit Trading Post is proudly owned and operated by Cindy and Tony Jaquez, continuing a family tradition that spans over half a century. Through relentless dedication and hard work, they maintain the vintage signs, care for the property, and welcome visitors from around the world with warmth and nostalgia. Deeply committed to their community, Cindy and Tony are generous supporters of local causes, schools, fire departments, and families in need. For them, the Trading Post is more than a business; it’s a living piece of Americana that brings people together and gives back to the community that sustains it.
