For more than 75 years, malasadas have been a cherished part of founder Sophia Bussio’s family tradition. Her grandfather developed a lifelong love for the Pacific Islands especially Hawaii and passed along his appreciation, along with the sweet tradition of malasadas, to his children and grandchildren. In 2021, Sophie set out to share this joy with a new generation.

Partnering with a Hawaiian native to refine her vision, she brought the flavors and spirit of the islands to Utah. With passion and dedication, Onoh’s Malasada Co. was born, offering the very best Portuguese and Hawaiian-inspired treats to delight both longtime fans and first-time tasters alike.
