KTVO Television is the ABC and CBS network affiliate for northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa.
Licensed to Kirksville, Missouri, it broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on UHF channel 33 from a transmitter northwest of Downing, Missouri, along US Highway 136.
In addition to free over-the-air via antenna, KTVO ABC and KTVO CBS can be viewed in northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa on multiple cable and streaming services, as well as DishNetwork.
Owned by Rincon Broadcasting Group LLC, KTVO's main broadcast facility is located on US Highway 63 two miles north of Kirksville.
The station has an additional news studio and operations located at 111 South Market Street in downtown Ottumwa, Iowa.
KTVO signed on the air on November 21, 1955, and is the area’s news leader with over 20 hours of locally produced news, weather and sports coverage each week.
KTVO’s regional newscasts, “Tri-State Trusted,” are also broadcast in the Quincy, Illinois/Hannibal, Missouri market.
With the area’s only locally based meteorologists, KTVO is able to provide timely alerts during severe weather via television broadcasts and the station’s multiple social media platforms.
