Event Name:
Woodland Park Wind Symphony at the Ent
Description

Under the direction of Craig Harms, the Woodland Park Wind Symphony is excited to be performing its 4th concert in the beautiful Shockley-Zalabak Theater.   This concert hall is designed to feel intimate for musicians and audience and incorporates technically advanced features for light and sound – providing a wonderful musical experience for all.
The theme of this concert is to introduce individual Wind Symphony musicians to the audience. Per Craig Harms, Musical Director and Conductor, “each Woodland Park Wind Symphony member is a treasure to our musical family.”   As the audience enters the concert hall, a pre-concert video, prepared by Craig Harms, will showcase Wind Symphony members and their love of music, family and friends.
A new concert feature in 2025 will be a video enhancement to the Wind Symphony's performance of "Mars," from "The Planets" by Gustav Holst, showcasing photos of galaxies and nebula.  These incredible photos were taken by Wind Symphony clarinetist, Chris Kjeldsen.
Soloists performing are Danielle Park, Trombone/vocal and Paul Frampton, Euphonium.  Clarinetist Krysta Heshelman, a music graduate student at UCCS, has composed a piece for the Wind Symphony, "Colors of the Night” which is being performed for the first time.

The selection of music will appeal to all - bring friends and family for an afternoon of sights and sounds!
