First Mid Bank & Trust Promotes Julie Huelsmann to SVP, Senior Agricultural Lender

First Mid Bank & Trust (First Mid) is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Julie Huelsmann to senior vice president, senior agricultural lender. The announcement was made during the company's annual meeting, where a series of officer promotions were unveiled.

In her new role, Huelsmann will lead the bank’s ag lending efforts, continuing to build strong relationships with farm families and agribusinesses to provide financing solutions that support long-term growth and sustainability. An integral part of First Mid’s ag lending team since 2015, this promotion reflects her exceptional dedication, expertise, and contributions.

With more than 10 years of experience in agricultural finance and a deep-rooted passion for the farming community, Huelsmann brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. Raised in St. Rose, IL, she has firsthand experience in agriculture and remains actively involved in local organizations including the Madison County Executive Fair Board, St. Rose Development Club, Highland Chamber of Commerce, and Highland Rotary Club.

Huelsmann earned a bachelor's degree focused in agribusiness economics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
